CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Aerial Yoga Beginner – Adults

No experience necessary. Aerial yoga combines the structure of yoga and focuses on the mind body spirit connection with the use of the ground and aerial hammock. Aerial yoga technique makes many yoga postures more accessible and naturally helps with body alignment. You will become acquainted with flight and how the hammock can be used as a fun and new way to move! This is a great class to be healed and restored. Bring your own mat or one will be provided for you. Kindly remove any jewelry/watches before class. Workout clothing with no buttons or zippers preferred.

 

Bungee Beginner – Adults and Teens

Welcome beginners and first-time flyers. Prior aerial experience is not required for this easy-paced, adult/teen bungee class. Our knowledgeable instructors guide participants through harness fitting, safety instructions, basic shapes and moves. Then, we challenge participants to bounce outside their comfort zones. We integrate play, laughter and silliness into this full-body work out. Contraindications: pregnancy, recent surgeries (eye, neck, back), atlantoaxial instability, vertigo or extreme motion sickness, hernia.

 

Bungee Intermediate – Adults

Prior aerial bungee experience is required for this class (18+). Intermediate bungee students will be challenged aerobically, anaerobically and choreographically in this intense, 60-minute bungee class. Contraindications: pregnancy, recent surgeries (eye, neck, back), atlantoaxial instability, vertigo or extreme motion sickness, hernia.

 

Mixed Apparatus (Silk, Aerial hoop, Sling) – Beginner

Try different ways to fly. No experience necessary. The Lyra (aerial hoop, below), cloud swing, and silk will help develop strength, confidence, and grace. Both are so different and equally satisfying. Express yourself in the air! A class of bungee will be taught as well!! Some of the top benefits include increased strength and flexibility, improved balance and coordination, increased confidence and self-esteem, better breathing and circulation, and a fun, challenging, and unique workout that is different from anything else! Progress at their individual skill level and will be given challenging new techniques to learn and master.

 

Acro Class – Beginner

Learn new impressive and fun tumbling skills in this safe and supportive environment. Acro classes teach students to perform tricks, balances, and tumbling through developing strength, flexibility, and control. Modifications for each student, based on their skill level.

 

Silks Beginner

This session safely covers aerial silks beginner level moves. Silks help develop confidence, flexibility and strength in a supportive and encouraging environment. Silk work gives a sense of accomplishment in an inclusive way, and students workout and support one another, which gives an overall sense of well-being. Also, it is a great addition to gymnastics or dance training. Students are taught basic hangs, climbs, locks, inversions, and other fun tricks!

 

Silks Intermediate

Prior aerial silk experience is required for this class. Requirements: Can execute French and Russian climbs without sliding down; perform a foot lock with out assistance; and invert in the air and hook a leg on silks. Take your silk skills to the next level. Developing your creativity in the air, and accomplish different and more advanced drops.

 

Flexability and Conditioning

Develop your strength and stretching capabilities. Level up your training! Want to learn the biggest drops and have the most beautiful splits? Come to conditioning and flexibility to gain the upper body strength to climb to the top of the silk and then turn yourself upside down! This class will focus on building upper body and core strength, endurance, flexibility, and confidence in the air.

 

Bungee Dance Beginner Intermediate

Take a workshop with esteemed choreographer, Wren Fuhrman (Credits include: Broadway, Pilobolus, Oscars, Cirque’s Cavalia and Usher. Full bio HERE ). Bungee dance is a combination of modern dance and aerial flight. The harness work allows movers to discover partner-work, weight-sharing, and plane-investigation. While working in an ensemble we develop clear communication with a playful eye. This work naturally pushes boundaries both physiologically and physically, which results in rich discoveries for any level mover.
